  • Provide Catford Station with a lift service
As a mother of two young children, I have found myself in the position of having to carry a pram and still hold onto the other child, leaving me and the kids exposed to trips and falls. During the day the station may be quiet and there will be no individuals there to help you. This is not ideal especially if a parent has had a c-section. I have also seen many other parents struggle to navigate the steep staircase located at the station.

  • Monitor kerbside air-quality on roads close to schools
Recent research has established direct links between traffic derived air-pollution and impact on human health. Nobody benefits when the only air for breathing contains sooty particles -but young children are especially vulnerable. Its a fact that impaired lung-development, respiratory disease and reduced life expectancy are all a consequence of regular exposure to traffic fumes. Now its time to acurately measure just what is in the air around Welsh schools.

  • Subsidiary Bus Travel for Senior Citizens
It is important in society to be independent, be able to work and pay taxes and to support the system that we depend on. To then isolate people that cannot afford own transport how do we cope? Senior Citizens will not be so motivated or stimulated so this can create many health issues. Young people cannot get to work or college this creates a bleak future. Social life becomes zero without transport.

  • Reduce City Pavement Polution
It horrifies me to see diesel fumes being discharged into the faces of our youngest children in their buggies or toddlers walking with their parents, let alone at pavement level for adults to breath. If they were directed upwards to the highest level of the vehicle, it could make a significant improvement. It would not be difficult to extend the exhaust pipes of vehicles up the back of the vehicle; The older the vehicle, the more important to make this modification.

  • Save the school crossing patrols in Bristol.
Bristol City Council are thinking about cutting 80 school crossing patrols across Bristol. Worse still, it could mean children all over Bristol will be in danger when they walk to school. Bristol's lollipop men and women get up first thing in the morning to go out in the freezing conditions and help and protect Bristol's children. They do a vital job for our city and this must continue. The council are currently running a consultation on this so we have a real chance to tell them how much school patrols matter to us.

  • Don't Stop the bus going to Cavendish from Sunnyhill Derby
It is so important because many people use the bus to go to Cavendish to do shopping and also to visit the remaining post office in this area. People also use this bus for work. The changes mean people have to struggle on and off the bus rather than having a trip straight through. This of course causes problems for everyone, especially disabled, elderly and mothers with young children in push chairs or prams.
