• Say no to advertising, normalising or glorifying hunting by Scotland's national tourism agency
Currently Visit Scotland links to a Perthshire based hunting outfit and under this listing at https://www.visitscotland.com/info/see-do/mirani-hunting-p1190411 there is a gallery of images showing a range of animal carcasses alongside the gloating hunter who supposedly killed them. Scotland enjoys a rich and wide selection of wild animals and it is our duty to protect them. Not kill them and pose for selfies.

  • Stop the closure of the Forfar and Kirriemuir recycling centres.
The previous council administration in Angus went ahead with a re-organisation of recycling facilities across the county. As part of that, they planned to close Forfar and Kirriemuir recycling centres and build a 'superskip' at Padanaram. This would have cost thousands of pounds, led to a worse service, and it would have caused an increase in fly-tipping. It would have also blighted the local community in Padanaram. The plans simply didn't make sense. Following the council elections and public opposition, the new administration decided to pause the plans for 10 weeks to look at everything in detail once more, setting up a Members and Officers group which will come up with a new report. This is a welcome delay, but we are pushing the council to go further. If we can show public opposition to the plans in Forfar and Kirriemuir we can change these proposals. We don't believe the merger makes sense and at a time of cuts in public funding, won't save money. Please sign, and show your opposition to the plans.

  • St Austell Railway Station
These Grade II listed structures are in a state of perilous neglect. It is in the public interest that, as listed structures of historical significance, and as local landmarks, they are preserved.

These guys fight for our very own freedom the fact he is Scottish shouldn't even come into this. He's a human first and foremost NHS England should hang their head in shame, this is pathetic and will not be tolerated simply discrimination to a fellow human being. 'This is the ultimate slap in the face' Former soldier lost his legs in Afghanistan but Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham will no longer treat him because he's Scottish.

  • Stop Closure Of Wrenthorpe Local Surgery
Outwood surgery are going to put out a consultation document in reference to closing Wrenthorpe Surgery. I believe they have already decided to close the surgery as they have been running it down for at least the last two years, a worry that I have expressed to my local councillor on regular occasions. The reasons for closing the surgery are purely monetary, no matter what they say. I believe that it is part of the "privatisation of the NHS" policy by selling off NHS properties. Make no mistake that this will also end up in the closure of our local chemist which will cause an extra burden on the sick and elderly in Wrenthorpe. This will not only affect Wrenthorpe but will be part of a bigger issue that will see centralisation of doctors services throughout the Wakefield area based purely on financial interests.. We must make a stand now. Stop the creeping privatisation of "OUR" NHS

  • Reinstate Kim's barrow decorations
Kim works for Hackney Council and does an amazing job cleaning the streets and squares of Dalston. Kim collects old toys and other memorabilia which she decorates her barrow creating the most colourful display that brings a smile to everyone who sees her. Yesterday her boss instructed her to remove all her decorations from her barrow - saying that the decorations stopped her looking like she worked for the Council. It is clear - decorations or no decorations - that she works for Hackney Council by the job she does and the uniform she wears. This petition is important to allow Kim to keep her decorations on her barrow, as it is not harming anyone, but instead Kim has gone beyond the call of duty in her job by bringing joy to the streets of Dalston. Please sign the petition to reinstate Kim's barrow decorations.

  • Retain The Miltons Head Site for Licensed Premises
In common with many villages in Britain, Chalfont St Giles has seen a severe reduction in the number of traditional pubs and their replacement by gastro-pubs , restaurants and non-licensed premises. The villagers are therefore saddened by the fire at the Milton's Head and its eventual demolition as it had been a licensed premises since 1901. In order to prevent any further reduction in licensed premises, the residents of Chalfont St Giles hereby petition Chiltern District Council to refuse any planning application for a change of use of the site from licensed premises /restaurant to any alternative use.

  • stop down grading our Hospital
the people of Fermanagh fought hard against strong opposition to have this Acute hospital located in Enniskillen, so it is important that all efforts to thwart it's advancement be met with strong opposition by the very people it is to serve, our councilor's have done little or nothing to halt the axe being used in the down grading process, instead are swallowing excuse after excuse from the WH&SCT, our MLAs are doing even less, so let's see what the people can achieve
