• Road Safety Round About on Ash Green Lane. Exhall. Coventry
Because its ridiculously dangerous driver or pedestrian crossing mean everyone who approaches the highly dangerous cross road are 100% uncertain of who has the righter way. Me. My family and all loved ones the great local area use the junction numerous times a day. Typically only last night I waited 5 minutes to pull out in the time a pedestrian had a car reverse into him. Its only a matter of time until a death occurs. Just observe the junction for a day and see for yourself. Thanks

  • "RE-BUILDING BRIDGES" IN IFIELD BROOK MEADOWS
Homes and Communities Agency 'dismantled' two wooden footbridges, thus preventing access to the most beautiful part of Ifield Brook Meadows along the riverbank. Two footbridges must be re-built so the local community can fully enjoy this special area - which has been granted 'Local Green Space' protection by Crawley Borough Council for the town's 70th Anniversary.

  • Ban sticky traps
This is a horrible and cruel device that kills indiscriminately. The animals and birds caught in this device are left to starve to death, a slow and painful death.

  • Keep cars off National Cycle Route 1 in King's Lynn
This motor car free road is extensively used by cyclists, pedestrians, along with children and parents going and coming from Whitefriars School. It passes alongside Harding's Pits, a local nature zone, the peace and quiet of which would be ended if it were opened to all traffic. We have more than a year to collect the 5000 signatures required to force a full debate in the Council. Let us go to it!

  • Train Companies to offer refunds to be donated to The Samaritans.
The Samaritans have a long standing partnership with the railways, working together on suicide prevention techniques, and are entirely run on donations. Any suicide has a devastating effect on the families of the person involved, and also on the train crew and emergency services who deal with everything after the event. I feel that having the Samaritans as an extra option on the refund form would maybe make people think a little, and help the Samaritans prevent future incidents. I know of several people who donate their refunds to the Samaritans (bravo!) however at present they have to claim, wait till they receive it, then make a donation a week or three down the line.. Some people whilst good intentioned may forget to donate or just not think about why they got the refund at that point... I believe that donating directly from the refund form would hugely increase the donations to the Samaritans and could help reduce the number of suicides in the future. This would be of comfort to the families of those with troubles, and also benefit the railway, of which the Samaritans have a long standing partnership with.

  • Continue the landfill search
Corries family and friends deserve to know if he is actually in there, after waiting weeks before starting the search, it is disgraceful that they would end the search without finding him but claiming he is in there. Why start a job if you are not going to complete it. There have been so many failings by the police regarding this missing young man. He deserves to be located and his family/friends deserve closure. If he is not in there then at least it's been checked properly, after too many mistakes. #FindCorrie

  • Help ensure the future of St Andrew's Pre-School
St Andrews Pre-School established in 1975 provides much needed childcare for 60+ local families. Dorset County Council owns the building in which it is located but during a Cabinet meeting declared the building a surplus asset and has now decided to sell it. While we have negotiated a lease to secure our tenancy for the next five years, the future of the pre-school thereafter is an unknown. The pre-school is a much loved organisation providing nurturing and inspiring care for children at the heart of their community. Add your name here to demonstrate to the council and to a future owner that this is a special setting, uniquely placed to offer valued childcare. St Andrews Pre-school deserves and needs protecting in perpetuity.

  • Don't increase pension age to 68
To require people to work to they are 68 before they can claim a state pension is unfair and unreasonable. It is an example of government policy discriminating against younger generations. This policy will affect people born in the 1970's and younger, it's time to say no!

  • MPS and Councillors voting their own pay rises.
Repeated excessive pay rises have proved that people in local and national government positions are incapable of doing this fairly. Their pay must be in line with the sorts of pay rises (or lack of rises) that their constituents endure.

  • Stop extortionate hospital car parking charges
I had to pay car park £11 for one afternoon to visit my Father in hospital. A nurse told me she came in for a half day training and had to pay £17 to park her car. A friend had his baby son in hospital for open heart surgery and besides the distress that caused, he was having to pay enormous amounts for car parking and getting fined if didn't make it back to car in time. The private car parking companies cannot be allowed to charge these unacceptable prices at hospitals.
