Don't cut funding for children's school busesIn September Thetford Academy are cutting funding to Lewis Coaches so that they no longer run the bus service for our children to get to school. I have no other way of getting my 12 year old to and from school. And many other parents are in the same position. Please don't compromise the safety or education of our children.181 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Amanda Walton

Hourly Bus Service between Ascot and LegolandThe first bus to Windsor from North Street is 10.05 am, therefore people are unable to get to hospital appointments or their places of work. The last bus from Windsor to North Ascot is at 3.46 pm, therefore anyone working or going to late hospital appointments , or travelling from Slough is left stranded. This bus service has been changed to a 2-hour service, so anyone missing a bus has to wait for 2 hours.289 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Bruce Singleton

Sacked for attempting to take his legally upheld breakBecause it sets a dangerous precedent if companies are allowed to ignore UK and EU employment law and act in contempt of the Employment Appeals Tribunal in Croydon, which ruled the Working Time Directive in relation to the Rest breaks applied. Peter Lee was a loyal employee of Network Rail, he was employed as a signaller for a total of 44 years. He had an unblemished record. 44 years unblemished service wiped out for taking a 20 minute lawful break. Arundel Signalman sacked by Network Rail. Shame on Network Rail for denying their employee a lawful break. It is also a big safety issue because signallers need a break to make sure they can work safely.8,164 of 9,000 SignaturesCreated by Peter Lee

Save the 77 bus to John o' GroatsFrom 20 August the 77 from Wick is to terminate in Keiss. Three villages between there and John o' Groats will lose access to any public bus service. People will be unable to get to Gills Harbour via John o' Groats by bus to catch the independent ferries to Orkney. Not only tourists are affected; locals will no longer be able to get to work. Several people who work in the area will be compromised. Locals north of Keiss will be unable to attend medical appointments in Wick by direct bus link, or visit relatives in hospital or care homes there. Children will not be able to attend extra-curricular activities. Stagecoach maintain people will still be able to get to Wick from John o' Groats - they catch the Thurso service and change buses at Castletown. But this connection might only allow one return trip a day and will add hours to journey time. No one travelling on the X99 bus from Inverness to John o' Groats will be able to get off at Wick any more. They will have to go on to Thurso, which is a longer journey, and they will have to hope there is a bus to John o' Groats at the end of it. This will affect tourism, local businesses and local people. This part of Caithness is remote enough without the bus provider making it even more remote. Not everyone has a car or can drive. It will greatly affect the elderly and the disabled; vulnerable people.178 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Carole Avalon

Traffic safety measures to be installed on Garratt Lane outside Floreat School, WandsworthMotorists drive very fast along Garratt lane and it is very challenging and dangerous to cross this road with young children. It is not uncommon to wait for 5 minutes to cross and there have been several near misses. It is only a matter of time until something terrible happens.473 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Chris Nicholson

A4063 Maesteg-Tondu Cycle RouteDespite an increasing number of commuting and leisure cyclists that use this road since it was constructed, it is wholly inadequate for the purpose and it is only by luck that no cyclist has been seriously injured. Although there is a proposal for a cycle route from Maesteg out of the valley, it is not conducive for those wishing to commute via bike since it would involve narrow lanes and add at least an extra 15-20 minutes to the journey. Therefore, a route running the length of the A4063 over the ample grass verges is the only solution for journey times.311 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Teague

Support for a 20mph zone - Glencaple villageOur wee dog (Dougal) was killed on the road here on Saturday 23 June 2018. I’m not blaming the driver, I blame myself for not securing the garden to the correct standard. However, I do strongly propose a lower speed limit. There are no pavements for several metres along Church Street, this and the fact there is a school on the same street concerns me with regards to the 30mph limit. This is too fast to stop in time if a child should suddenly run on to the road. I would be happy to pay a contribution towards the signs, I’m sure other parents in the village will feel the same. We have excess of 14 children now independently walking, cycling or on scooters each day around this wee village. Let's make this happen.161 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Nicky O'Toole

SPEED RESTRICTIONS FOR THICKET ROAD Se20There are 2 care homes with disabled residents, school children, families, park users and pedestrians on Thicket Road. Residents are scared to walk the pavements, road users are out at risk. Speeding is constant and violation of the one way system rules are regular. Nightime "racing" and mopeds are hazardous. Traffic and reckless driving are common throughout the day. This road has been described as "hell" and a "race track" and it is time that Bromley Council consider residents above statistics.811 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Charlotte Farrow

Stop cuts to 666 bus services between Faversham & the William Harvey Hospital AshfordThe recent changes to the 666 bus service are a barrier preventing access to vital healthcare services. Timetable changes introduced on the 3rd June 2018 have seen an already limited service dramatically reduced. Prior to this date Stagecoach ran 7 daily services on weekdays between Faversham and the William Harvey Hospital. The new timetable changes now mean only 2 services per day run between Faversham and the William Harvey Hospital. These changes adversely discriminate against those with limited mobility, the vulnerable and the elderly users of this bus service, who previously used the 666 as it served as a direct route to essential health services at the William Harvey. For many users, the increased journey time and problems of changing onto a connecting bus at Ashford Park Street has made this journey dangerous and distressing.204 of 300 SignaturesCreated by JACK BRIGHT

Slow Down MallingAfter many requests and dogged persistence, East Sussex County Council (ESCC) Transport Monitoring team conducted a speed survey on Malling Street/Malling Hill in April. The results were shocking. The data tells us that: • an average of 24,000 vehicles pass by our houses on Malling Street every single day • one third of them are breaking the 30 mph speed limit – 8,000 • over 2,000 of them are going over 36 mph – every single day! We do not believe that we should wait until there is a fatality or serious injury before ESCC put up speed signs, paint road markings indicating the speed limit or – ideally – install a speed camera. We are fed up with the speed of traffic down our street, Malling Street, and Malling Hill, particularly the big HGVs who either don’t know or don’t care about the 30mph speed limit. We are also tired of East Sussex County Council and others taking little action regarding our concerns and requests for speed enforcement. We want: • to create a better environment for all road and pavement users in our area. • less fast and heavy traffic which is dangerous and creates pollution. • all drivers to treat local residents with respect by sticking to the speed limit.216 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Miranda Kemp
