• Bus Route
A extra bus route is needed for the area of KT5 .Berrylands Rd. We have one small bus K2 taking passengers to Surbiton station then on to the kingston hospital, But this bus misses all the hundreds & hundreds of flats including houses dotted along the way, as it doesn't reach down into the the Berrylands rd. You have to walk 15/10 mins just to get to a bus stop and if you miss that bus you have to wait 15 mins for next bus, for the amount of people that live on and off the Berrylands rd this is hughly frustrating late for your Train or late for your hospital appointment. These two, the station and the hospital are quite important part of people lives and this day & age it seems ridiculous that we feel like we have a rural countryside service for a London area. Please give us a extra bus route for the Berrylands rd, for this area of mass of people living here.

  • Maypole Roundabout Crossing
The Coop convenience store at the Texaco petrol station is open 24 hours a day and is extremely busy. Therefore, large numbers of people need to cross the roads to access this store. Since the expansion of the Maypole roundabout and the large amounts of housing development taking place in the area, traffic volume has increased enormously. Attempting to cross the roads here is now extremely dangerous, sometimes requiring a wait of 10 minutes for a sufficient break in traffic to allow safe passage for pedestrians. Pedestrians from the Hedge End side may need to negotiate Lower Northam Road, then Grange Road and Woodhouse Lane. Pedestrians from Kings Copse area are most likely to cross at Broad Oak and may need to cross Kings Copse Avenue first. All five roads have two lanes of traffic entering the Maypole roundabout. The vast majority of drivers approach the roundabout at too high a speed and are either oblivious to people waiting to cross or don't care enough to slow down and allow safe passage. Installation of a simple zebra crossing at Broad Oak could be achieved with minimal cost and disruption and would provide a vital safe crossing point for pedestrians. An additional benefit would be created for motorists by enabling easier exit from the petrol station, as traffic on Broad Oak would be forced to slow down and stop for pedestrians.

  • Make Headcorn Road One Way
Implementing a one way system on Headcorn road will improve the safety of pedestrians, road users and quality of life for residents. Cars will no longer come head to head and refuse to make way for each other. No more late night beeping and fighting. Cars will only come from one direction, so it will be safer for cars when they are leaving their parking spaces. Cars will no longer need to accelerate aggressively to get from one end of the road to the other end before an oncoming car arrives to obstruct them. Parking should be easier with cars facing the same way.

  • 2 PARKING PERMIT FOR 4 HOURS EACH TO VISIT FAMILY/RELATIVES AND FRIEND
SOME PLACES THERE ARE NO CLOSE PROXIMITY TO PARK AND COULD BE DIFFICULT FOR ELDERLY OR DISABLED VISITORS AS WELL AS THOSE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AND SOME OTHERS WHO CAN ONLY VISIT FOR A SHORT TIME BEFORE HAVING TO RUSH OFF TO OTHER APPOINTMENTS OR WORK. HOWEVER PARKING COULD BE A LONG WALK TO AND FROM THE INTENDED VISITING AREA AND COULD CAUSE FRUSTRATION AND LESS SUPPORT GIVEN TO OTHERS IN NEED OF SUPPORT..

  • Free school passes children to longcroft school for east riding children
It is important so that the children in villages do not get pushed into schools and there choices are taken away not every child wants to attend a single sex senior school ..it's discrimination unless they do go to them there not allowed a bus pass for our own council area yet the school 2 miles across road get it all free funding it's wrong ..it doesn't give our children a choice and put parents in financial difficulty letting them go were this wish to learn ..

  • Legal driving age
Young people are allowed to go to work at 16 yet the only means they have of getting to work are public transport (in the area we live in this is not viable) or riding a moped (on today's hectic roads, It's a bit too risky). Why can't the legal driving age be reduced to match?

  • FASTER COMPENSATION FOR TRAIN CANCELLATIONS
This is important because myself and many others have had days out, holidays, flights missed and business meetings ruined as a DIRECT result of train delays and/or cancellations. When trying to claim compensation it can take weeks, months, even years to claim and even then may be unsuccessful. The amount of hoops you have to jump through is totally unreasonable and unacceptable. The claims system is deliberately designed to put people off claiming compensation. I recently had a day out to a folk festival totally written off because a train was cancelled and getting the next one, an hour later, meant I would have missed my connection at the other end. The train ticket which records the day, date, time and departure and destination information really ought to be enough.

  • Ban Bus Gates and Bus Lanes
Bus gates and lanes make travel to cities overly complicated and disproportionately disadvantage people from outwith the local area. Bus gates are overly complicated and are like traps to catch out the general public who accidentally end up in the wrong lane. In any other instance a safe manoeuvre or detour would correct a navigational error but with bus gates and bus lane cameras any confusion of lane choice becomes a penalty to people who are trying to obey the rules as often there is no way to prevent entering a zone once in a wrong lane on a one way system. Access to city roads should be equal for all vehicles and not restrict the general public from travel. The general public shoud not be subjected to fines or any penalty for trying to navigate round a town in order to buy goods or services to provide for their families.

  • Promote Cycling and build proper bicycle lanes
Cycling might not be the most popular means of transport in rainy Scotland but the lack of proper bicycle lanes does not help at all. Introducing The Bothy, a new cycling hub for Inverclyde to shelter from the rain was a fantastic start but the only existing bicycle lanes that are safe, are along the Esplanades in Greenock, Gourock and the Battery Park. The bicycle lane from the Esplanade to the Waterfront complex (Cinema, Inverclyde Leisure,Beacon) along Container Way is either non-existent or in very poor condition and also shared with walkers without clear marking. There are no cycling lanes around the town centres (Gourock/Greenock) at all and hardly any provisions to park your bike not even at the fitness centres. The Waterfront Leisure complex has bicycle stands but they are exposed to the rain. The Greenock Sport Centre has no bicycle stands at all. Because of the lack of bicycle lanes I do cycle on the road a lot but it has become more and more dangerous over the years and is unsuitable for younger children. Scotland has some of the worst obesity and public health problems in Europe so the one thing local governments should encourage is for people to get out of their cars and either walk or cycle. There are plenty of campaigns on junk food pricing policies and healthy eating but the provisions to encourage and help people to get out of their cars and on their bikes are very poor. Throughout Northern Europe (Scandinavia, Holland, Germany) cycling has become a major means of transport and governments have responded by providing proper and save bicycle lanes.
