• Keep 8AOT bus running
We need the 8AOT service! Hucknall people need this service - it is affordable, reliable and those in the West (Ruffs, Beauvale etc) of Hucknall really need this service as they do not have a bus service they can easily reach which can get them around Hucknall estates and Nottingham. • Extend Consultation Period for Stretford Masterplan.
Some of these concerns are (but not limited to) the haste with which the plan has been launched with seemingly little data, plans or research available to residents to substantiate claims of regeneration. Furthermore, there has been information emerging throughout the process that has caused alarm such as the design of the scheme, environmental impact, impact upon current residents and loss of public facilities and access to public space. Whilst we broadly support a vision to regenerate our town centre we cannot support a Masterplan which shows no consideration for incumbent residents and any impacts upon them. With further information it is entirely possible that we would support this plan - however as such information is not forthcoming we ask you to extend consultation and engage with the community meaningfully and openly. For further information - on twitter @m32dogs or [email protected] or facebook 'Development Opportunity Group for Stretford 'https://www.facebook.com/groups/347186892414426/

  • Urgent action on Mile Oak Road traffic safety
There have been a number of near misses due to the layout of the road and its geography. Tragically, a motorcyclist was involved in a serious accident on the 2nd December and residents are, rightly, demanding that something be done.

  • RBS Branches Closing in Clydesdale, Scottish Borders and Midlothian South
Not only will this have a devastating impact on the bank workers who are set to lose their jobs, these closures will also have a negative effect on the local communities of Biggar, Carnwath, Douglas, Dunns, Eyemouth, Hawick, Jedburgh, Lesmahagow, Melrose, North Berwick, Penicuik, Selkirk and Strathaven. Those who are older, in poor health, who cannot afford to travel further afield to do their banking, or who run small businesses will be hit hardest by these branch closures.

  • Stop Scotrail Skipping Stops
Commuters have had enough of the daily train lottery. Will the train be running and will it stop? Or will I again be left standing on the platform to wait for the next train in the hope it is actually running, perhaps even watching the train roll past without stopping because it's running 8 minutes late? And if I get on a train will it be going to my stop or will I be left stranded 3 stops before my destination? Will I get to work on time? Will I get home to collect the kids from school? Will I make that appointment? Or will I get let down by Scotrail yet again? Sound familiar.... Despite Scotrail claiming skipping stops is a last resort, on a number of routes it appears to be a daily occurrence. Commuters are paying for a service and the service they are receiving is not acceptable. Is it too much to ask that trains start where they are supposed to, stop at timetabled stops and actually reach their destination? The practice of stop skipping must be stopped.

  • Stop the cuts to 42 and 42A bus service Minster, Cliffsend
The 42 and 42a bus is an important link for residents in Minster and Cliffsend. It links communities where some don't have access to private transport and connects to local schools, doctors' surgeries, shopping areas and village communities. It reduces car use, reduces airborne pollution, saves on parking charges and keeps communities together.

  • Stop KCC cutting funding for Socially Necessary Bus Services (SNBS)
These bus services are a lifeline to our communities. If these essential services are scrapped, it will have a devastating affect on vulnerable people, the elderly and children amongst others. It will also be highly detrimental to community well-being, along with the local economies in a wide range of areas across Kent. Kent County Council must guarantee its residents the continuation of all of these vital transport services for the health and prosperity of the residents that currently use them, along with growing numbers that will use them in the future.

  • Keep the 5:38 from Selhurst to Luton running - Due to change in May 2018
If the train is stopped, then people who travel pass Blackfiars would have to find another means of transportation due to there no longer being a service (unless you change). This would extend their already lengthy journey time. This could also lead to job losses and could also effect Elstree Studios. This will effect commuters.

  • Stop A6 carnage in North Bedfordshire
There have been two major accidents on this stretch of the A6 in the past few weeks - so severe that air ambulances were required. Drivers routinely speed on this narrow stretch of road, a hazard which is exacerbated suicidally by their tendency to use the right-hand turning reservation into Park Lane (MK44 1LX) for overtaking, and the almost total lack of visibility from the Templars Way junction (MK44 1PZ) leftward, owing to vegetation and crash barriers, when trying to cross the dual carriageway to turn right. In addition, supercar events and similar gatherings at the Sharnbrook Hotel regularly result, despite the hotel's best efforts in putting up warning signage and safety tape, in fast cars using this stretch of the A6 (as well as surrounding residential roads) as their personal racetrack. There *will* be death on this stretch of road if the relevant agency does not act decisively to slow the traffic down and to ensure that those who persist in driving irresponsibly are systematically caught, fined, and, if necessary, banned.
